I usually go sock, sock, shoe, shoe. We don't wear shoes in the house, so getting ready means I wear socks around until we're ready to go.

Um, well I try to wear flip flops as much as possible otherwise I grab socks, put them on, then run to the entryway and find my shoes and just slip them on - I never untie if I can help it.
Sock, shoe, sock, shoe? That just sounds too crazy for me to attempt.
Call me crazy, then. ;-) I put on my shoes and socks while sitting and bringing up my leg, so I usually do one leg at a time: sock, shoe - sock shoe. Then again, I usually wear heels so that means remaining standing and wiggling in to the shoes!
